been reading a lot this summer and i really wonder how the f*ck did i ended up with books about parenting.
maybe i just want to understand more about
them.
"we would never have publicly revealed our dream, because our parents had made it very clear to us that our dream was embarrassing" quoted from Chris Gethard from "A Bad Thing I'm About to Do". Has it ever occurred to anyone that every time you ask a kid what he/she/it wants to be when they grow up, it is always the textbook answer of 'doctor,' 'lawyer' or 'policemen'? where do we actually get these ideas from? why not cartoonist? car mechanic? may be it is because the previous three are the socially accepted answer. or was it how we're molded to be or how we're being given the wet blanket when we first had out dream?
while another book is on her experience with her 3 kids. family make up is similar to mine and seamus may just be me in that family.
was flipping through the photo albums and what i see was just.. repulsive. has it been like that all along? and i've only managed to discover a portion of it? maybe let's just leave it like that. i'm glad i grew up the way i made myself.
Thanks a lot
