there seems to be a big hooha over the recent foreign talent which starts of with a coffee auntie. however, matters seems to escalate in forums such as edmw.

i'm just trying to maintain a neutral stand here eventhough it's true that some actions of ah tiong and ah neh do piss me off.

the auntie must think. is she able to do what the beer lady does? if so, why didn't she do it? is she able to increase the sales of the beer?

moreover, in sg, does the ppl wanna work ots and weekends? i doubt note. we treat ourselves as king. we think we are being protected by the contract. everything is taken for granted. however, for these FTs, everyday is like war for them, trying to compete and to earn a livelihood.

though some may say they fought with us for scholarships, but who can we blame it on? only our own incompetence. also for them to do tt, they sacrificed 2~3 yrs. they don't mind eating some humble pie and study with people younger them then. but how bout us?

lastly, if we want to blame the influx of foreigners, we can only blame it on us. due to globalisation, local businessmen have invested in their country due to cheaper labor and because of these investments, their country became affluent, hence able to travel overseas for their education.

if we don't like being treated like 2nd class citizen like what happened in australia, i suggest we stop treating others like one too.

btw. i think eventhough the foreigners are here, they should at least respect our culture and not being so insensitive. this is not their home. they are just using us as a stepping stone.

so overall... stop whining and get a life...


update on my life...

nothing much. just a series of unfortunate events. gt pangsehed by a friend and i got a guitar. i wrote my name wrongly while registering for the SAT and i transferred $$ into the wrong acc. how great is that eh?

been listening to acoustic music. think they're pretty great. how the performer actually injected their sould into the melody.. i wonder if i could play like tt....
